Be in the Now....part 2

Post by aquarius » Fri May 18, 2007 7:13 pm

Being in the now can suddenly free up the realization
of who you are
and instantly free you of who you are not
rest in this now realization and become instantly rich
of who you really are
unravel your thoughts of who you think you are
and be what you really are
the flow of infinite wisdom
flowing through your empty vessel
you carry the flow
it is not you the flow is doing the doing
on a moment to moment basis from beyond
where nothingness dwells
arising in you but not you
you are a reflection of your own creative dance
you are richer than your wildest dreams
you invented you and you can not escape you
leave your mind alone from its incessant chatter
a prison a parallel world of words
an endless running commentary
let them rest in the now and dont believe them
let the flow of wisdom arise effortlessly through you
the transparent vessel that carries itself
attachment to your not self is confusion
all illusion appearing as real
let it go in the now
and freefall effortlessly
in the now

The Now has parts???

Wow, that's another really odd notion... the Now has "parts"??? :? :-k

Obviously you are under a somewhat different impression than many of the rest of us.

Aquarius, Leo Hartong (member name "awakening") created this site so we could gather to discuss non-duality (his favorite subject ;)). When I first started posting here (over 3 years ago), I was drawn because of Leo's very intriguing and beautifully written newsletters.... Usually he writes one about every 2 weeks, and has written 105 so far..see  here...

At the time that I joined, I hadn't ever heard of non-duality, and hadn't yet read his book either, but I did eventually get around to reading(savoring)...Awakening to the Dream... (and I even got an autographed copy too! woo-hoo! \:D/)

and now Leo has written a second book From Self to Self: notes & quotes in response to 'Awakening to the Dream'

And he also has an interesting home page [ok] with lots of relevant links to other web sites and authors of non-duality. :)

perhaps taking a look around would help you understand what we're all talking/writing about? Heck, you might even like to join in the discussion... (or not? :-k).

Thank you Maple

As soon as I can afford it
I would like to discus hiring you as my agent . :D
Perhaps then the oft mentioned fabulous riches
apparently enjoyed by book writing
satsang giving non dualists
will finally come true...

THIS IS

Heaven....THIS, the Surround, is God, the good One. -- Jesus

You mean if you were fabulously rich you would pay me to do what I do for free? #-o

But anyways, you're welcome. :D

Oh, but wait a sec, didn't you already sign-up jeff as your agent? Of course he and I could also work as a "double" team. ... but geez, that would also mean we'd have to split the "payola" huh? :-k

:D

Thanks :D

and you're welcome :D

Leo is not usually the type to toot his own horn, so we sometimes do it for him... (and he didn't pay me to say that either! ;))

And if you're interested, some of our comments about the Now are very similar to Eckhart Tolle's in his book The Power of Now.

Clear evidence that I'm not half as smart as I think I am
and perhaps the reason I'm not fabulously rich.

But then again, yes I would not mind
to pay for freebies
if I was fabulously rich.

But wait a minute!
What am I saying!
Here is abundance beyond belief!

This blue pearl...
The crown jewels of the sun and moon
Fiery diamonds strewn over the black velvet of the night
A magic bag full of emotions
And other symphonies
All mine alone...
All yours alone...
Let's share it!

But I thought it was "clear evidence" that I'm the one who's "not half as smart as I think I am." After all, I've been willing to do something for free that someone is willing to pay for!... Hmm, if we're we're both "not half as smart" does that means everything balances out? ;)

Ahh, I always suspected you were the type to share the wealth (if you had it ;)).

Of course, you're right, all abundance is already/always mine/yours alone, (and just right for the "sharing" too [ok]).

But hey, if you do ever acquire any of those other types of "fabulous riches," I'm definitely gonna come a-knockin'. ;) :D

Where does Inteligence reside?

Where does the beautiful mind reside?

How does the healthy mind state stay so?

Were does seeing reside?

How is seeing defined?

Who

owns

these?

The answers to these depend on the context with which you ask the questions. :-k

If you're asking these as non-dual questions in the way typically being discussed here, the (non-definitive) answers to the first three are...

Where does Inteligence reside?
nowhere (and now-here)

Where does the beautiful mind reside?
nowhere (and who says it's "beautiful" :?)

How does the healthy mind state stay so?
it can't (at least not in a non-dual sense)

But the next two ...
Were does seeing reside?

How is seeing defined?

are probably best answered by someone who's better at explaining those. (Hey, I'm good, but I do know my limits ;))

But the last one I can answer...
Who

owns

these?

Any "who" is always just a "no-body"... a made-up and imaginary reference point...

and there is never any actual "owner" of anything... except as an "idea"... "ownership" is simply a concept, and nothing more...

"Ownership" is just one of those things (like everything else) that "we" make up as a way to amuse ourselves.

Or it could be explained that the "who" and the "ownership" are like a pair of co-dependent phantoms. They seem to need each other to co-exist... can't have one without the other... but actually they are both bogus.

And hopefully this post doesn't seem flippant, because I'm really being totally sincere.
