What would you say?

Post by makara » Mon Oct 04, 2010 9:00 am

Suddenly before you stands a (wo)man with
a microphone who says:

"this will be broadcast all around the world on t.v.
and radio... what would you like to say?"

The camera's running - the mic is under yr chin ...

(I'm going to be a big chicken right now
because I'll need time to figure s/thing.)

"Give Peace a Chance."

John Lennon - Imagine lyrics

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

"See life unfolding through you."

"See life unfolding through you."
That's a wonderul invitation Dil
but I suspect the mob would throw stones at you
(they just wouldn't get it).

Thank you.

I have no intention to 'convert' 'the mob'.

The mob is as much a manifestation of this wonderful life as my suggestion is.

Yes. It is Makara. But the mob mentality is an affliction/corruption of our senses.

Is it really wonderful? No. LIFE is wonderful regardless of *appearances*. However, appearances are the result of *group think/thought/action*.

Is it so? I'll have to listen more closely to that song, didn't know it.

Voila, listened to it, but don't find this line in the song?

Living is 'moving' eh makara...

:?: what line?

I guess so Dil but I don't understand
why the statement occurs here.

Must admit I can't get past the Sermon on the Mount.
It is one of the great speeches of all time
so I would quote that.
It's in Luke v.12(and I seem to recall in Matthew).
My version says:
That is why I am telling you not to worry about your life
and what you are to eat, nor about your body and how
you are to clothe it.Consider the birds. They do not sow or reap;
they have no storehouse and no barns; yet they are fed. .....
...can any of you, for all your thinking, add one single cubit
to his span of life? If the smallest things, therefore are outside
your control, why worry about the rest?
Consider the lilies of the field. They neither spin nor weave
yet Solomon in all his glory is not arrayed as one of these.
in modern speak: you're not yr body
thinking achieves nothing
you control nothing so stop trying

Wow not bad for a hippy in sandals.

Thought you meant that I quoted the line 'that I have not intention to convert the mob' from John Lennon's song 'Imagine'...

Thought you meant ...
Black marks on a white screen
easily misunderstood
without tone, voice, facial expression ...
and all the other 'signals' which convey
(they say) some 80% of communication.

Everything will be understood as it has to be understood...even if it is not meant to be understood that particular way.
