John Lennon wrote:

God is a concept,
By which we can measure,
Our pain,
I'll say it again,
God is a concept,
By which we can measure,
Our pain,
I don't believe in magic,
I don't believe in I-ching,
I don't believe in bible,
I don't believe in tarot,
I don't believe in Hitler,
I don't believe in Jesus,
I don't believe in Kennedy,
I don't believe in Buddha,
I don't believe in mantra,
I don't believe in Gita,
I don't believe in yoga,
I don't believe in kings,
I don't believe in Elvis,
I don't believe in Zimmerman,
I don't believe in Beatles,
I just believe in me,
Yoko and me,
And that's reality.
The dream is over,
What can I say?
The dream is over,
Yesterday,
I was dreamweaver,
But now I'm reborn,
I was the walrus,
But now I'm John,
And so dear friends,
You just have to carry on,
The dream is over.

This song popped up this morning, WOW. Hearing it for the first time.

Same place Michael does.
Same place we all do.
Apparently....

Do you remember this one?

A psychiatrist is interviewing a patient, who beliefs he has a solution for everything.

At some point the psychiatrist says to the man "Imagine there is a hungry tiger with you in this room. The door is locked and you can't get out. What would you do?"

The man answers; "I would blast him to kingdom come with a Kalashnikov automatic rifle."

"Aha," says the psychiatrist triumphantly, "I told you that the door was locked, so where would you get that rifle from?"

Without hesitation the man answers;
"Same place you got the tiger."

Of course it is Michael. Very Happy

My desktop dictionary says:
"a rhetorical question is one asked solely to produce an effect (especially to make an assertion) rather than to elicit a reply"

Please consider the 'produced effect' a rhetorical answer.

a rhetorical answer to
a rhetorical question

what is cause
and what effect?

What is the meaning
I detect?

whatever thought
whatever
said

of cause...

the meaning is...
already
dead.

as for effect...
no one can say:

along a different course
events...
now play.

Very Happy

Mornin' All!

Haze lifting, beautiful lonely SUNNY beach beckons ( I even have a sidewalk to no-where now! Cool

But..... Yum!, who could risist this extensive feast,! And no tea, please....this is energizing enough!

One could easily become addicted to these free-flowing 'rhetorical' flourishes.....MmmMmmm..... breathtaking poems and hilarious jokes!

I'm back (huffing and puffing).and 'I' feel like just like this:
michael wrote:

I am a dog
full tilt
... pure joy
spraying the children
playing at the waters
edge

I am

Love

Laughing

Story: 'I' forgot to mention...next time, 'I'll' let you know....if you check out the webcams (especially the one that shows the pier), you might 'catch' 'me' running/dancing/walking. I'll be the one ("pure joy") alone appearing with the long brown hair, red fluffy hat, red jacket and black pants near "the water's edge"....can't miss 'me'! Very Happy

Love,
sara loves that poem! Exclamation
