I live peacefully in a grass hut,
Listening to the birds for music.
Clouds are my best neighbors.
Below a pure spring where I refresh body and mind;
Above, towering pines and oaks that provide shade and brushwood.
Free, so free, day after day --
I never want to leave!

Yes, Iím truly a dunce
Living among trees and plants.
Please donít question me about illusion and enlightenment --
This old fellow just likes to smile to himself.
I wade across streams with bony legs,
And carry a bag about in fine spring weather.
Thatís my life,
And the world owes me nothing.

When all thoughts
Are exhausted
I slip into the woods
And gather
A pile of shepherdís purse.

Like the little stream
Making its way
Through the mossy crevices
I, too, quietly
Turn clear and transparent.

strange,
my mind, today,
searches for profound thoughts, out of habit?
seeks to make connections
meant to unlock some hidden meaning,
but all that feels lost,
i stand before a pile of dirty dishes,
or i watch the sun come up
through a spider web of snow covered branches,
both images mean the same to me, today,
yesterday,
seems like an old story,
a dream,
and these words ending this thought, today,
i'm sure were the beginning
of another thought, yesterday,
one that held some meaning then,
a meaning i knew i needed, then...

it
is this cosmic joke,
and even cosmic joke adds some extra significance,
if you look out your window and see rocks and weeds,
that is simply what you see, there,
if a monk or physicist writes about rocks and weeds,
(for the well informed, or deeply indoctrinated)
they are describing the mysteries of the universe,
the meaning of these rocks and weeds
have now lost their simple meanings,
the writers alone become mysterious guardians of secret knowledge,
the simple man can choose to ignore the claims of the mystics,
or they can choose to go seek the same source of this knowledge,
the simple,
may find,
it is time better spent,
weeding and arranging rocks in an interesting manner
in his own garden, out his own back window,
then to let his mind
travel out into infinities of complexities
looking for hidden meanings
of rocks and weeds...
blah blah..

Push gently on your eye lids and watch the patterns emerge
Make sure you do this in the dark so the inner light can then surge
Look to the left and look to the right
An expanded vision, a new dimension of sight
Focus on the center, pay attention to the bright
I now understand the prayer, "Let there be light"
What do you see? How does it make you feel?
These patterns of light seem to be realer than real
My body begins to vibrate like it's ready to blow
Then i see a greenish halo and let the pressure go
Spinning mandalas in shades of gray
So beautiful that words cannot say
My mind is full of awe, it is totally blank
I don't even know who it is i should thank

...Smile

it's like waking up from a good night's sleep,
and rubbing your eyes, adjusting to the day light,
you ever do that?
rub them so hard and so long
that you start imagining...
that's like those times between
sleeping and waking,
everything is magic and full of meaning,
dream's images mixing with bird songs and traffic noise,
and starting to feel the body again,
yawning, stretching,
the in-between time really is a very good time,
it shouldn't be overlooked or taken for granted...
but sleep, in a comfortable bed,
maybe a light breeze coming in through a half open window,
a good book or a warm body near by,
who would ever want to wake up? Laughing

You do not need many things Smile

My house is buried in the deepest recess of the forest
Every year, ivy vines grow longer than the year before.
Undisturbed by the affairs of the world I live at ease,
Woodmenís singing rarely reaching me through the trees.
While the sun stays in the sky, I mend my torn clothes
And facing the moon, I read holy texts aloud to myself.
Let me drop a word of advice for believers of my faith.
To enjoy lifeís immensity, you do not need many things.

- Ryokan

Right here,
right now,
this
is the perfection
we've always
been seeking.

nice,
so maybe it's better to seek the now
than any (idea) of perfection,
idea's all ways end up being imperfect,
but what can be said about the now?
what can any one say, hope, ask or think,
that will change what simply is?

time for lunch anna:D

So who is going to seek it?
When will we start?
And where to look for it?

'Seeking' always find Itself
at the right place
in the right time...

Now is the right time
for a dinner...

who knows?
anyone can seek,
anyone can start now, or never,
anyone can look anywhere they please,
no one knows what anyone will ever find,
or what was ever lost to begin with,
or maybe they do,
but maybe it doesn't really matter either way.

AS our Dear Leo said:

"Just keep it simple. Non-dual..... Not Two..... One! What ever 'you' think, it is IT thinking AS you. Whatever 'you' do, it is IT doing it AS you."

Just keep simple...
