It is essentially thoughts that bring this reality into existence!

Thoughts that contrast, contradict & conflict!

Thoughts that develops this idea of you, I, me, mine, yours, ours, us, we, them, they, this, that, here, there, up, down, left, right!

Thoughts that create a sense of sound, taste, smell, seeing, hearing, feeling, beauty, repulsiveness, color, texture, depth!

Thoughts that define! Confine! Restrict! Enslaves! Imprisons! Destroys! Creates! Expresses! Frees! Liberates! Confuses! Explains! Conceals! Reveals!

Thoughts that interprets!

Thoughts that gives perspective!

Thoughts that causes sTatIc!

Without thoughts there would only…..…….Be...ing!

Good Question!

Where exactly is the thinking coming from?

I've never heard this theory explained so I'm very interested in knowing.

Please advise as to analysis! Or any one else is also welcome to advise.

Thanks

Peace!

So, thought, "thinks"?

No. No thought thinks.

Thinking comes from no where. Shocked

And the thought comes: "But it must come from 'some where'. It can't just 'appear' ". Confused

...What is the experience?

You may as well ask from where does 'seeing' come.

The answer is self evident.

Knowning what is known and acceptance of the unknowable is the essence of wisdom.

What is 'knowing what is known' and 'acceptance of the unknowable'?

This is a question framed in words, that no words can answer.

It is self evident.

Within the frontal cortex of the human brain.....thought evolved as a survival biased function.

When this thinking process reaches the point where thought becomes aware of thought....a phantom emerges in the overlap.

What's really happening is the brain cells themselves are wondering what in the hell is going on 'out there'.

They are the fires in which the self emerges...flickers for a time....and then disappears ..............forever.

They have no idea that it is all a most fantastic hall of mirrors.....in which nothing is.

So.................There you have it.

Ain't that a kick in the ass. Laughing

Well.........that's the rub.

Thinking can think of anything .......but itself.

Sound familiar?

cimages, "seeing is a function of consciousness?" is a question only 'that which is not' asks... though that which is not, cannot do (ask) anything!! Confused

To 'consciousness' it is self evident. It needs no proof nor validation.

Lovely story toombaru. Very Happy

Never has any one 'observed a thought in a brain'.

Yes, it appears that there is a link between 'human brains' and 'human thoughts', but this link is not the cause of the experience of 'thinking'. The link exists in idea only.

That which knows thoughts is brainless Evil or Very Mad

Consciousness is brainless Shocked

So the story goes Very Happy

That which is known now is ever known. It neither comes nor goes. All change is apparent only.

That which appears and disappears is only labelled self. It seems to come as sensations arise to give it appearance and seems to change/go as sensations change/subside... as a dream appears and disappears.

As in a dream, the meaning of the dream is not created through the sensations experienced. What the sensations (images/feelings/smells/sounds, etc) mean is ever known.

The meaning is apparent to awareness as it is given form through sensation. This sounds like analysis when read as words.

Beyond words, it is self evident.

As for the 'dream images', (labelled/thought of as 'self')... they have no idea that it is all a most fantastic hall of mirrors.....in which nothing is. They do not even know of their own apparent being... any more than the images do in an apparent 'nightly dream'.

So.................There you have it.

Ain't that a kick in the ass... for the 'image' Laughing

This is the point of Thoughts on Thoughts, there is no thinker!

This is why I was inquiring with you on your theory of who or what or where the source of the thinking.

No thinker...just thoughts! My point exactly!

Peace!

"...They do not even know of their own apparent being... any more than the images do in an apparent 'nightly dream'..."

that means, when 'I' see 'You', you then don't know anything at all about your own apparent being...? Shocked

Fox, ...that means, when 'I' see 'You', 'you' then don't know anything at all about 'your' own apparent being. Confused

All 'yous' are unknowing. Very Happy

And no 'I' can be found...

So ask yourself "Who is/am 'I'?"

Am 'I', a 'you' (an 'object', something seen and felt and...), or am 'I' that which sees and feels each 'you': the 'ultimate subject' in which all apparent 'objects' appear?

Is 'fox' seen?

Is 'fox' felt?

Is 'fox' known?

That which is seen, felt and known is a 'you' Very Happy

Invisible, 'I' see, intangible, 'I' feel, silent, 'I' hear... unknowable, 'I' know.
