Philosophy hit a high in Athens
which only goes to show that such thinking
doesn't do much to bring about
answers, peace, quietness, understanding,
happiness, at-one-ment, or really anything
beyond more books, more mental noise.

One of the earliest documents known is

and his verses on the theme:

and know that I Am
God."
