“ Shit, Piss, Fuck, Cunt, Cocksucker, Motherfucker, and Tits.
Those are the heavy seven.
Those are the ones that'll infect your soul, curve your spine and keep the country from winning the war. ”

George Carlin isn't posting on this forum
so he doesn't need to read point number 3.
but maybe you should review it,
thanks
3. Right Speech
Right speech is the first principle of ethical conduct in the eightfold path. Ethical conduct is viewed as a guideline to moral discipline, which supports the other principles of the path. This aspect is not self-sufficient, however, essential, because mental purification can only be achieved through the cultivation of ethical conduct. The importance of speech in the context of Buddhist ethics is obvious: words can break or save lives, make enemies or friends, start war or create peace. Buddha explained right speech as follows: 1. to abstain from false speech, especially not to tell deliberate lies and not to speak deceitfully, 2. to abstain from slanderous speech and not to use words maliciously against others, 3. to abstain from harsh words that offend or hurt others, and 4. to abstain from idle chatter that lacks purpose or depth. Positively phrased, this means to tell the truth, to speak friendly, warm, and gently and to talk only when necessary. |

George Carlin
is part of the boomer generation
that seems to think more
good than bad comes from
personal freedom of expression...
it's a self serving point of view
you might even say self-indulgent
ken Wilber
has said a bunch about the
destructive qualities of the boomer generation
read
BOOMERITIS
for a fun-filled semi-fictional rant
on the subject
or just read some of his writings on
the Integral Model...
it might make you rethink your view
on your Boomer tendancies
does it matter if you do or don't?
well of course
we all know the answer to that...
YES,
it matters a great deal,
in fact the future of humanity
may hinge upon it...
thanks,

Hey lovely Libralitis,
Now what is your point?
That there is no point?
Or that everything is a point?
...Or that we should evolve to a nice and friendly world?
And who is gonna do that then?
Someone with a free will and choice?
To "ME" this Carlin-character (THE LORD ALMIGHTY has his soul, RIP) is 100% positive with his statement...(he was a stand-up comedian after all)
That Wilber-character (with his integral bla bla) is way too serious to "MY" taste...but about tastes its difficult to argue...
Hypocrisy (for instance in the American media) is a fascinating game for a while but it becomes boring after some time...always fun to see a dog running through the cones of the bowlinggame...

Don't we, the living, walk a thin red line of life between two points? Is that not our choiceless choice, to be who we already always are?
Carlin does (now timelessly) Carlin, Wilbur does Wilbur....and so it goes....

"We" ARE "walked", included "the thought that we are not". |

That, my friend, is captured for all time in one moment only, inside the paradigm shift that I know as *my life*.
Senses remain. Silence is practiced. Joyous luminosity abounds.

Since every-thing matters
while at the same time
no-thing matters
I would simply observe that where I live
the people who use this sort of language
are the most addicted and unhappy.
Words, it seems to 'me',
reflect the awareness of the speaker.
Who would want to live in an awareness of
