I want fire in my eyes,
a rhapsody that cannot be extinguished,
no matter how much rain should fall,
cover the earth in torments
even if daydreams are pilgrims walking
towards Mt. Arafat in broad daylight,
or shadows of war,
it is the gold of discovery I need
no matter how much dirt is thrown
over my grave, no matter
if the dark angel whispers my name
I want your body to fit into,
your soul to hold on to while we rapture
with the starlight
I want your mouth to kiss like a benediction
to a penitent, I want to wipe away
the dust as it settles like a prayer.
