What, honestly, brings 'you' here to this forum?

Why is there no surprise here?
Because this is what was predicted ...
Where are the "it helps me fill the day"
" enjoy the characters here"
"makes me think from anohter perspective"
"looking for some meaning in life"
etc.

ah well ... there are moments of entertainment, that's something

What brings me here?

Nothing brought me here and everything will bring me away from here...or vice versa...

Predictable?

Sometimes life can seem very predictable...

The seeker is always looking for something 'new', something 'special'...that also seems very predictable...

Some years ago,

before Leo

closed down the Forum,

‘some-one-no-body’

asked the same question. Smile

As I recall most of the
answers were

Love”…smile

Perhaps Leo

might found this old

thread… Wink

Now, when I read

makara’s question,

the first thought that

arose was

Why this ‘some-one-no-body’
wants to know this? Perhaps first
of all he must answer first?!...wink winken Razz

Then Rumi’s words arose, but
our dear E&F aka Brian already
posted them. Think

So, then Ryokan’s words
arose

“These old days - I wonder,
did I dream them
or were they real?”

~

“The flower invites the butterfly with no-mind;
The butterfly visits the flower with no-mind.
The flower opens, the butterfly comes;
The butterfly comes, the flower opens.
I don't know others,
Others don't know me.
By not-knowing we follow nature's course.”

Speak for 'yourself' Dilaram.
The O.P. is seeking something 'honest'.
'you' (everyone here) do not dwell on Mount Olympus
'you' eat, sleep, watch tv ... just like 'me'.
Sometimes the 'nothing can be said' stuff is just inane for if it were
true there would be no forum.
So given the forum exists let's also have spaces to be human.

In fact that is what happened originally.
A long and (dare it be said) personal-like disclosure was
bared. When done embarrassment ... knowing so many would
hit the post with "but you don't exist ... etc" ...that
it was deleted and the simple, light question was left
up to see what might appear.

Here I admit openly:
Saying "I am the appearance of the ONE" does not work for
me. The material humanity of my being dominates
and sometimes in this forum I feel like the only
idiot who still struggles with an insubstantial identity.
It is so easy to not answer - to start talking about
shadows and mirages ... instead of staying with the
terms of the question. So I wanted to see who else
was here that often feels like this one does.

Also I like plain language - for example Adyashanti can
say some pretty profound things but it is understandable,
clear, comprehensible. He doesn't sneak off topic with
poetic streams of non reference.

The Iamness here is no different than all the other Iamnesses.

It gets frightened, angry, lustful...can be loving.....can offend others....sometimes feels lost and alone....

And it is known that Adya, Gandhi, Mother T. and Nissargadatta are not essentially different than any other human animal.

Its experiential palate is completely human.

But no longer is it seen as the center of the world.

And Life flows along easily with or without its input.

you can be human if you want makara

i'm through with that

i'm more interested in being what i truly am

pure consciousness, awareness, the space in which all appears

everything is appearing in my own mind

in this clear aware space in which this post is appearing

but i don't have to believe that I am this aware space

i can just look and see that it is already so

it has always been so
