As you know makara, there is a whole lot of misery and ignorance in the world included in the US (especially mentally/emotionally/spiritually) and this man just mocks with all that, that's all.

I think this man (George Carlin) died happily.

I don't know of any comedian who commited suicide, but in other professions that's something else...

'' Itís so hard to do anything, there is so much resistance to everything. Water will eventually wash away soil no matter how hard the soil tries to resist. Itís the natural state of things. Buildings will eventually crumble and fall, itís the natural state of things. Everyone you love will eventually die, itís the natural state of things. The universe will eventually spread out and cool down into cold dead nothingness, itís the natural state of things.

There are just so many things that if left by themselves will revert back to the natural state of shit and nothingness. Itís a fight to do anything. Even gravity is against you. I put a pencil on a desk and it rolls off and falls, and so I must bend down and fight gravity to pull it back from its natural state. I know that sounds trivial, but itís the little things that get me down.

Day in and day out, not getting anywhere, itís a struggle just to get out of bed. My body aches and Iím tired, Iíd much rather revert back to being in bed, but I must fight the forces trying to keep me down to go out and perform meaningless tasks.

I used to be all ďI want to save the world and help peopleĒ, now Iím not sure. It seems that the world is just spinning down the drain, and any attempts to make things better are ultimately pointless. So why fight it? Things in life are naturally shit. Starvation, suffering, and death are the natural states for millions around the world. Masses of people will naturally do stupid shit, like vote republican. Why fight it? Yes they will do stupid stuff, and yes they will suffer for it, but they are so fickle and possess such a short term memory that they will continue to repeat the same mistakes and expect different results. Itís just natural for them. Shit is the natural state of things.

As much as it seems reasonable to just go with the flow and be evil, I canít. Itís my natural state to be a good person, and so I lament all the shit in the world, but I feel unable to do anything to stop the natural state of things. I think I would be happier if I was indifferent to other peopleís suffering. It would make living in this world as we slowly circle the drain easier. ''

Aquarius,
I find this writing very touching ...
and true.
And while it doesn't matter
I also wondered if this is yr own
writing about how it is for you just now;
or you found it ... written by another?

The use of the term 'resistance' reminds me
of something I wrote a long time ago:
"all spiritual practice is designed to show
us where and how we resist."

I found it on the internet.

It just struck a chord with me that's all, i see a lot of unnecessary confusion and misery in the world, the fragile & futility of life is obvious.

Yes, i agree, stop resisting what is, and everything will take care of itself all will flow as it should gently down the rivers of life.

As ease warrior!

Yes there is much self-induced suffering.

It's a lovely image you've posted
but I have to wonder ... if J.L.Huie really
believes what he writes
why does he need to put his name there?

"Shit" has a bad connotation but only in the human mind.

I never hear the plants complaining about shit, nor the microbes, nor the flies...but 'we' feel better, more cultivated than those creatures...and that's our 'drama'.

Human mind has the inclination to dramatize (over or underestimate everything), so it can have a deciding role in it...al least that's what it thinks.

Life happens by itself.

Everything (included shit) has a reason, that reason cannot understand.

Perhaps but I suspect you'd change
yr mind if you lived in the bush with
only tank water (water from the roof or
pumped from a stream).

If you did you would have to watch out for
giardia (from bird shit on the roof)
and e-coli & other nasty bacteria in the
water.
If you ingested any you'd be pretty sick
and it just isn't pleasant. Giardia for instance
takes ages to get out of yr system.

Then of course there's the poor countries
which suffer many debilitating illnesses
from poor sewerage.

It's all in the dream,
unless you're infected
then it appears very real.

Shit is a natural item in the (food)chain of life, plants feed on it, all sorts of micro-organisms too, and those are necessary for human life to be possible...without bacteria/plants no humans...in fact we could say they are our ancesters, because before there was life that depends on oxygen (like humans) there were already anaerobic bacteria. In fact oxygen is the first 'contamination' of the earth by photosynthesis...

Now, I am not a biologist, but that's what I heard one say...

And yes people get sick and die, just as everything does...

Everything what appears must disappear...

The word 'Nonduality' points to something which isn't a 'thing' but what is prior or beyond 'everything' .

Along these same lines---

The parents saw their young son digging around in a huge pile of manure and they asked him
