crisis :?: Second time the terms of reference have been changed. Crisis? I don't know of any crisis. All I know is the kindergarten rules: -share the toys and -don't hog the sandpit. How does the caterpillar analogy fit into the discussion - which recently is about reciprocity not unilaterality? Ok...

This reminds me of what I've heard about the analysis of a caterpillar in transition to becoming a butterfly. It looks as though its systems are in crisis and is going to die....well you know the rest.

So does collapse equal crisis?

Makara,
I agree that there is a natural reciprocation going on. Balance is always in play. I'm just not clear on the "trouble afoot" that you mentioned.

If it's not in what he says, it may be what you say or someone else. and all relationships are reciprocal. When that reciprocity ends there's trouble afoot. Is there reciprocity or is there an expectation (belief) of reciprocity and that it look a particular way that brings trouble; isn't it the im...

If your pits are God, the Bible etc., there's fruit.

If your pits are Toombaru, there's fruit. If it's not in what he says, it may be what you say or someone else. It may be that you go and do something else.

Re: I found the culprit of suffering!

Hello, Namaste and Cheers to the ALL Here and Now! As we always should find the culprit (as the Pope did with atheists, see the news on bottom), I herewith do that with the evil antichrist who is responsible for ALL suffering. After 100hours of intense meditation ( ) It finally dawn...

Haha It's not a quote, just an extrapolation; just a place to hang my hat for the moment. The teaching I loved the most from the Buddha was that if you find something that is more valuable to you than Buddhism, you ought to leave Buddhism. I think there was even more, something to the effect that yo...

There's a great Buddhist story in which Mara (Devil) and his minion watch as a man comes across a piece of truth on the ground. He picks it up and happily keeps it. Then Mara says, "good" and he's pleased. His minion is confused and asks Mara how it is that he is pleased. Mara says that he has a pie...

I asked someone on another forum what they thought about ND this was the reply......... ''Non-duality is a philosophical system of putting all into one, and one into all. Well, that sounds like a lot of heavy lifting. Can't we just say, "all is one and one is all" and kick back? If one studies it d...

What are you doing right now?
That's it.

How about now?
That too.

Toombaru, I think you use the word 'God' more than anyone else here.
I don't know...I might be too new.

Anna - did you say hit the earth with comedy? What a grand notion! It's hard to clearly distinguish the two—comedy comes to look a lot like tragedy and vice versa, something like the seed of comedy is within the tragedy and vice versa. Perhaps I just played with words and a combinations and p...

The Joke Is On You And You're The Prankster

You, as a wave is a feature of the ocean, are an expression of your awesome creative power. Being is the intention and so the appearance of separation is "what's up". Concepts, words, language, distraction, suffering, pain, are the human gig, that I could say is perfect or flawless but it will never...
