Isn't asking 'What about me?' a natural survival instinct?

The program for physical survival is hard wired in all organisms,

It is the survival of an imaginary psychological entity in man that saps the strength of the organism.....and diverts its attention back into the conceptual overlay.

hey angel,
maybe this kind of self-asking
is one natural & instinct-ful outcome
when there are two, in relationship...
& if that other is too 'block-headed' to care enough to ask first,
eventually this other either asks
'What about me?'
or gestures an approximate meaning by walking away,
or giving up in confusion, frustration or...
anger?

yes, perhaps that is the exact nature of 'relationship' -

asking - "what about you? what about me?" :!:

well-
very mind blowing pictures/art from alex grey.

also in an earlier post that I will approximate a quote-
about--"asking what about you? "what about me?

makes me think of Joe Satriani's song:

Always with me, always with you.

do we have any satriani listeners?

I really like this song.

I was going to say it's a wonderful expression of oneness (which it is) but I suppose that could apply to anything from a sunset to road kill, a wonderful expression of oneness (just look at the colours :D ).

but 'I really like this song' seems like ego, does this song make me happy? (YES! (temporarily  ))

I liked it so much I sent the link to my friends.
First me then them (did I have a choice about that?).

So who is going to swap me for you? It could happen, but does it really matter if everything is a wonderful expression of oneness?

I'm sorry I feel like I'm raining on the parade (a wonderful expresson of oneness).

Is there ever going to be an end to these questions?
Will the answers just not matter any more?

Why can't I just enjoy this wonderful expression of oneness without all these questions?

Oh yeah, even this is a wonderful expression of oneness!
