madness/awakening

If 'One's' dream is not shared but rather dreamt more or less in isolation, it can begin to break down, lose it's solidity. When this appears to happen other dreamers, who appear to share a dream about the nature of this 'physicality', may regard such a 'One' as out of touch with 'reality' or 'mad'

But if such a 'One' spends long periods alone, in caves or deserts, or has a certain charisma, and can talk with clarity about the 'experience', these 'others' may visit bringing provisions, ask lots of questions, be willing to have sex, believing him/her to be enlightened.

i like the cave analogy,
and i see it as a small
room in the earth,
dark and cool,
with one side that opens
to infinity...

maybe hiding under the covers is better

This sounds great Heron.

Do you know this from direct experience;
either as a bringer of food and sex
or as charismatic cave dweller
and recipient of such offerings :?:

Or did you perhaps hear about it -or read it some where- and took it to be true :?:

From direct experience I know the part about 'lots of questions' to be true.
Now let's see if the rest of your story also plays out. :D

Practical tips as to where to find a suitable cave are most welcome; preferably with a very low rent -or better still, no rent- a nice view, a comfortable climate (weather and tax wise) and a willing local population near by :?:

nice,
and the crab, the egg and the cave,
where does the shell exterior end,
and the cave's interior begin?

and as the hermit crab grows
it moves from the small shell into a larger one,
i guess the sage does this too...
and the chicken just runs around trying not to get eaten...

Try the Canary Islands, I know there are comfortable habitable caves there as my mother lives in one. The climate is perfect, I'm just not sure if the population is all that much into having sex with hermits. :?:

i was just out west the other week.

one could literally vanish from the 'world' if they wished.

there is no thing out there in the desert (NM,AZ,UT,WY,NB,)

its like a place prior to the noise of knowledge

the Timeless Silent Transmission originates from the desert floor

ahhhhh.......

silence.........

It seems possible that without the noise, the mind would eventually quieten down too, and perhaps, even for a moment, just stand still, in amazement. :D

As you may have guessed Dear One, in heron's case only the madness is known from direct experience, which fortunately includes sex, remote living, and chocolate.

In your case Leo our remote valley can provide all you list. I can see you now sat round the fire in a blanket answering those pesky questions, a wild welsh hippy maiden on each knee................if your knees are still up to it.

is just perfect...

i also have one not so bad i-dea...
Perhaps the i-dea of Krishna and his gopis
would be preferable for leo...?

...a lot of gopis to dance...

Dear Anna

Those Krishna pictures are just great. Heron dreams that he would love that dream heaven but could never figure out that path, or even if he could, lacks the discipline to stay on it.

Maybe that's why nonduality was made up, for those carrying the heavy burden of banishment to the spiritual wilderness by the spiritual majority............this may even include our Dear Leo.

Ohhh, dear 'heron',

every 'path' is so unique,
like snowflakes...
no one is the same as the other,
and yet
all snowflakes are from the same
Source...

...they all fall down quietly on the ground -
there is a ground for every one of them... :)

..today is snowing here...

..snowing beauty is unfolding all around
and i am feeling really as a snowflake...

..free falling down...

..whatever that means for you, for me, for our dear leo...

In our dreams we may even interpret our dreams. Only after we are awake do we know we have dreamed. Finally there comes a great awakening, and then we know life is a great dream."
