naked subjectivists

Post by aquarius » Sun Sep 19, 2010 8:28 am

Can pessimistic naked subjectivists ever know the truth.
Do they foolishly deny, what's before their eyes
The absolutely real Universe and World...?

Just a thought

Bye the way, this thought is not aqua's thought.

It has come from some other apparent thought stream....

I'm interested in your opinions, because i really need to get to the bottom of truth, even if it's the last thing i ever do.

Would appreciate your participation.

Thanks in advance.

Aqua - Happy Sunday [wink]

I feel the search for Truth too.

Then* in a quiet moment it strikes that this is a me-ing activity. It contains desire and a person who wants to know. A ghost chase.

* If awakening is happening with me then its pretty damn patchy

Hi Matt.....thanks for being a good sport.

And I agree with you, it's just that i'm hoping to teach the whole world to sing this happy ghost chase song.

Cos, i just love the song so much, i want everybody to see and hear it too.

Aquarius, aside from the most apt
words from Matt,
you already know that
everything is in the mind.
Everything is subjective to the human being.

Yes i know mak, but trying to convince others is a completely different kettle of fish ...

But to those that do know..According to modern Vedanta: ..

When the subject is left without an object of experience,
having transcended the subtlest state of the object,
he steps out of the process of experiencing and arrives as the state of Being
beyond all seeing, hearing, touching smelling and tasting beyond all thinking and beyond all feeling.
This state of unmanifested, absolute, pure consciousness.

Through, passing beyond yourself and every other thing
and thereby cleansing yourself from all worldly, physical, and natural love, and from everything that can be known by the normal processes of mind
Enter into this darkness with love .. this supreme and dazzling darkness .. and experience the self in its naked, unmade, unbegun state.

Why would you even attempt doing that?

Well, yes, I know the urge to want to share the
good news ...
but whenever we do we are inside the rational
(language), inside the duality and inside the finite ...

they are best stayed away from, yes?

Why would anyone attempt to do that? good question, they'd have to be completely insane.

My daughter tells me to stop my ND talking, she says she cannot understand what the hell i am talking about,
says it's like i'm speaking in another language, she calls it french....sorry to any french people reading..

Arguments begin, then i get told i'm insane, i'm told that i'm going to end up in a mental institution one day.

Now, i just keep it to myself, nobody wants to listen to me.

If I tried to say anything to my daughter (which I don't)
she'd day "Don't be daft Dad, if there's no you
who the hell am I talking to?"

As for my son ... he's more open but still I say little...
just watch and have noticed that lately he has startedn
to read books which involve asking inner questions.

Truth appears so counter-intuitive doesn't it?
I mean can you really blame most seekers for
wanting nice, white robes, gentleness, warm feeling,
universal love ....? Well I'd rather folk were following
those 'new ageisms' than being violent, getting drunk and
beating up family members, being vandals smashing
public facilities. I know in the end it doesn't matter and
there is no judgement about the latter being bad or
anything ... it's just easier living day to day with
peace and quiet.

Ditto re the above, it's a tricky old business isn't it.

The 'best' I have ever come up with was a conversation about 'being a person' actually being a trick. Which my friend agreed with but we didn't explore it any further.

Sometimes I think that everyone knows that it's a trick, but the ego and cultural momentum (and much else probably) prevent all but a few really giving it consideration.

Looneydom has a certain freedom.
For example I received an official order to appear
in the Supreme Court as a juror.
So this morning I went to the Courthouse and
reported my looneydom and they discharged
me from jury duty. Of course I couldn't tell them
the real reason - that I am incapable of judging
anyone.

I remember that Wei Wu Wei (the Irish mystic T.J.Gray)
commented in his writing something along the lines of:
"I am amazed that use of intellect has not led
some to see through the illusion of self."

So yes Matt, milk and one sugar please.

Let's crack open the biscuits too!

Much admiration for you seeing that through at the Court.

Beauty! especially those old brands
where the biscuits are the same as
they were when I was a kid (like ginger nuts!)
