I found the culprit of suffering!

Post by fox » Thu Sep 23, 2010 12:46 pm

Hello, Namaste and Cheers to the ALL Here and Now!

As we always should find the culprit (as the Pope did with atheists, see the news on bottom), I herewith do that with the evil antichrist who is responsible for ALL suffering.

After 100hours of intense meditation ( ) It finally dawned on me:
There is a definite culprit which is responsible for all the suffering in the world.

And this nasty contemporary is... AWARENESS!

Think about it! Without awareness there would definitively be no suffering whatsoever! Isn't this true?

So how to get rid of this sinister awareness almighty?

Didn't awareness make you aware of this thought? Meditation, as I understand it, is about increasing awareness.

If you can't get rid of awareness, then what?

My experience is that suffering is caused by innocently believing thoughts that are not true.
Log on to the inner-net and be kind to your mind (or not).

Hi Fox,
Were you alone or
were there other
in tents with you?

I'm glad it didn't rain.

"Statement of the basic doctrines of Buddhism. They were formulated by the Buddha Gautama in his first sermon. The truths are (1) existence is suffering; (2) desire, or thirst, is its cause; (3) the cessation of suffering is possible; and (4) the way to accomplish this is to follow the Eightfold Path. Though differently interpreted, these four truths are recognized by virtually all Buddhist schools."

If the Buddha was right
then Existence IS awareness
and nothing can be done about either
but
suffering can be managed, minimized, overcome
or even eliminated

then there would awareness of not suffering

which we all experience from time to time

Eightfold Path

maybe I'll give it a try,
how painful can it be?
